Eagle Scout Simon Benedict Smith did his Eagle Scout project in service to Butler Council 866 and All Saints Parish, where he worked on cleaning out items from our storage in Saint Paul’s Church and refurbishing our Council Chambers at Saint Peter’s Church. As part of his project, he hung Council Jewels and historical photos in the new chambers and built a memorabilia display. He also framed the glass door inserts from the old Knights of Columbus hall, formerly on North Street in Butler. As part of his efforts, he found the picture of Pope Benedict XVI, which was donated to the Butler Council by his parents in honor of his birth 18 years ago, and has been in storage for many years.
